I did three Manuscript Academy sessions over the course of about 18 months with Linda Camacho. In our first session, she helped me get my query letter and first pages ready for querying. Ultimately, I received 14 full requests from agents and 3 full requests from publishers. That was followed by two agent offers and an offer from a small press before I contacted my other outstanding submissions and ended up querying journey. I also had two calls with Linda during the querying process to analyze my options and chart out a path for my future. In addition to being knowledgeable about the industry, Linda is kind and enthusiastic and made me feel like she was invested in my journey. Katharine was terrific. I had a hard time keeping up with my notes she gave so many specific suggestions for my query letter and first chapter. IÃm working on a memoir and she was graciously sensitive to the subject matter while still giving pointed feedback on the execution. She was exactly what I needed and both are so much better in the rewrite.

Renee Fountain is insightful and speaks with a kind but clear voice. She helped me see where I could improve my work, and gave me the confidence to make the needed changes.
