My consultation with Alyssa was so lovely and uplifting and it was exactly the boost I needed to get into the trenches. I’ve been feeling really anxious about querying, but her insight and advice, as well as her support, was the perfect combo. I feel both prepared and motivated to dive in. Thank you for offering this service!

I had a 10 page consultation with Molly that was wonderful. Her comments and remarks were extremely helpful and I feel like her guidance will help make my query and story that much more compelling. She was open, honest, and answered all the questions I had. I would highly recommend Molly.

I had a fantastic session with Renee Fountain. My manuscript is way too long and Renee was extremely helpful going through some of my pages, helping me to understand how to condense and make my novel tighter and have more impact. This was exactly what I was looking for. I plan to have more sessions like this with Renee. I’m extremely grateful to have had this time with her.

Alyssa was great. I enjoyed the conversation and came away with some specific things I could understand and do better and with some added confidence. It was 10 minutes well-spent.

CeCe was wonderful! Very warm and encouraging while still zeroing in on precisely what needed fixing in my query letter. She was easy to talk to and I appreciated that she gave options for how we could handle the 10 minutes. Highly recommend!

Renee Fountain is insightful and speaks with a kind but clear voice. She helped me see where I could improve my work, and gave me the confidence to make the needed changes. I left our consultation feeling hopeful, knowing I could and will improve my memoir. I definitely have received the best advice available. I haven’t had a bad consultation since I began with the Manuscript Academy, but Renee has been the best possible choice for me. Thank you.

I did a ten minute consultation with Amy regarding my query letter, and while she thought it was good to begin with, she immediately made it better. It’s a subjective business, but getting the perspective of an agent is definitely helpful.

Cecelia was direct and professional. I worked with her twice, once with a fairly polished query and again with another query consisting of a smattering of disconnected content that I was curious to get an agentís opinion on. She provided excellent feedback and was economical with our brief time together.

One of the best consults I’ve had yet with MA! I’ve been waiting for a while to snag CeCe, and it was worth the wait. It helps that my query is “almost there,” and I came away from consult very happy. She actually used the word “perfect” twice: once, in reference to my first qualifying paragraph, and the second time in reference to my last or bio paragraph. She said “don’t change a thing” for those paragraphs. As for the middle two, she asked for more plot points and development, and less characterization and creative writing. She said save that for the novel. I’ve been told this before but don’t know how to execute it. She then suggested how to add more plot without giving away the whole book. Cheers to CeCe!
