Energizes Writers with Query Feedback

Stephanie was wonderful. She walked me through specific items to strengthen my query and opening pages while making sure to point out what works. I feel energized to revise my query package after her feedback.

Supports Writers in Book-to-Film Adaptation

I signed up for Mr Burkhart because he seemed the most likely to give a good critique for a feature film possibility Ă³ his comments during the #MSWL Zoom panel were pro writer and pro new content and encouraged the audience of writers to consider contributing their content in the new film-media arena.

Jonathan was very cordial and approachable during our conversation. I would book him again.

Thank you to the Julie and Jessica and everyone at the Manuscript Academy for a very informative Book to Film panel!

Caitlin was incredibly helpful. I was struggling with the best way to pitch a fantasy novel that was not told chronologically and she guided me through that process. She answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable.

Boosts Confidence with Thoughtful Advice

My consultation with Kaitlyn was amazing. I can’t believe how much advice was packed into 10 minutes. She came prepared with notes and was so respectful in discussing my picture book poem. I have more confidence in how to take the manuscript and query across the finish line. Thank you for offering the opportunity to meet with Kaitlyn!

Brings Editorial Expertise and Precision

My 30/30 critique session with Erica Finkel was amazing. It was the first time I had a session with an editor vs. an agent and I loved her perspective. She didn’t have to guess what an editor might look for because she KNEW. But just as important, she was honest, positive, and took my project seriously. She referred to my characters by name and pointed out where they were getting lost in the exposition… I likened our session to a surgeon who goes in with a scalpel and helps fix what needs repairing. I still have to do all the recovery work but my prognosis is excellent. I highly recommend working with Erica. She’s super smart and a delight.

Recommends Stronger Opening for Success

Quressa was great! I explained what happens in my second chapter and we both thought that would be a better opening instead of the old chapter one. I then queried a handful of agents last week with the chapter switch, and within a week, I received a full manuscript request with those changes.
