II had my fourth query critique, each with fantastic, helpful suggestions and hints. My fourth and final one with CeCe put it over the top! I came away with a new comp and a hook that was missing in which I explain the MC’s main dilemma when he faces a choice.
I dare an agent not to request my manuscript with this query!

Katie gave me direct and concrete feedback that, at first, I didn’t want to hear. But as I thought about it, and imagined how I could revise my opening scenes based on her feedback, I realized it was transformative. Now, although it means I have to re-write my opening again, I am confident this time it will be so much better. And the entire story will be as well.
