Feedback And Reviews
This is the third time I’ve booked a 10 page, 15 minute consultation with John Cusick. He’s not only extremely personable and professional, but he always seems genuinely invested in me and my novel manuscripts. He provides detailed and constructive feedback that has been detrimental in improving my work. I won’t hesitate to use him for any future projects, and I’m certain his insightful advice has shaped my stories for the better and given me a much better chance at securing an agent. I’m extremely grateful!

My query letter review with Alyssa Jennette was fantatastic. She was laid back and kind and helpful. She listened to my questions and gave thoughtful, honest answers. It was one of those meetings that proves how much you can accomplish in ten minutes with the right person in the room.

Katie gave me direct and concrete feedback that, at first, I didn’t want to hear. But as I thought about it, and imagined how I could revise my opening scenes based on her feedback, I realized it was transformative. Now, although it means I have to re-write my opening again, I am confident this time it will be so much better. And the entire story will be as well.

Chelsey was amazing! Her feedback was insightful, precise, and energizing. I’m so excited to implement her suggestions into my query and manuscript! Thank you!

Stephanie was lovely! Her feedback was efficient, constructive, and professional. I really appreciated how she addressed larger themes (voice) while also digging in at the line-level to really improve my first 250 words. I absolutely recommend her consultations. She was a dream to work with!

Erica was great. She was easy to talk to, specific in her comments, and gave helpful tips and suggestions.

I recently had an informative and very satisfying ten-minute live consultation with Agent Hannah Strouth. Hannah provided enthusiastic and positive feedback about my overall query letter, pointing out sentences and sections that worked well and why they worked well. She said she loved how I presented my comps, but noted that they both must be fiction. She offered constructive ideas of where to add more to my plot details, and where to take away from my themes. She liked my bio and shared what it revealed about me and my writing. She told me she could tell I’m an excellent writer–a compliment that goes a long way when you’re in the trenches as a debut novelist. She allowed a couple minutes at the end for me to ask questions, either directly about my query, or in general about my novel. Afterward I felt elated that I was on my way to a strong querying process, thanks to Hannah! I would highly recommend this lovely lady for a consultation.

Bibi was so helpful! She helped me fine-tune my query letter and was a pleasure to chat with!

Hannah Strouth offered great insight and encouragement. I recommend her to others for consultation.

Alyssa provided a wonderful critique of the first few hundred words of my picture book script. She was kind, complimentary, and provided direction. She has a solid confidence and understanding of the publishing world. Alyssa is also extremely personable and easy to chat with.
Thank you so much, Alyssa!

My call with Jennifer was the most effective one I have had to date. Her advice was spot-on, pertinent, and expertly given. She was easy to converse with and brought a wealth of experience and value to my query writing skills. I cannot recommend her enough!

Emmy gave terrific advice on both my query and my opening pages. They really helped me understand how to fit what I’m working on into the publishing world. I walked away excited to revise and knowing that the book would be better. If you have a chance to consult with Emmy, do it!
