Feedback And Reviews
Clear, straightforward feedback that instantly transformed my opening pages
Erica Bauman provided me with clear, concise feedback. She was very conscious of the amount of time I had booked, and she used that time efficiently–exactly as I had hoped. I specifically requested frank feedback–I just wanted brass-tack advice without sugarcoating. She provided me with two very clear tips (regarding POV and chaos/confusion). I was able to incorporate these in just one hour of futzing with my manuscript and it improved things 10x over. I would definitely recommend her services.

Rhyming Picture Book
Savannah provided a succinct and professional critique of my manuscript/query letter and made a helpful recommendation to increase the clarity of the illustration notes.

Erica was so kind and helpful. I left our call feeling inspired and with a clear direction.
I’m so glad I booked a consultation. Erica was so helpful and gave me specific feedback regarding the query and first ten pages that left me feeling like I had a clear direction of where to go next. I left our call feeling inspired to jump back into the query and manuscript, rather than feeling daunted.

Timely advice and feedback for PB project!
Alyssa’s feedback was just what I needed before submitting to a publisher. She asked my specific concerns and deftly suggested a few edits and answered my concerns about clearly conveying the underlying message, from the perspective of both the art and words.

Critique
Monica went above and beyond with her critique of my query and first 3 chapters. Her insight and advice was on point and helped me see what needed to be addressed. She was very kind and answered all my questions. I would definitely ask her to critique my book again

Great Graphic Novel Feedback
Thanks Rachel for such a great review of my first 10 pages. Having my graphic novel manuscript reviewed by your professional eye definitely helped me make a revision plan, and the encouragement was so very nice. I feel ready and confident to get this manuscript into shape now!

Kelly “Gets” It
Unlike the majority of rejection letters that I’ve received for my middle-grade fantasy, Kelly Van Sant provided detailed feedback that focused on both my query letter and my first page. The goal of our meeting was to figure out why I wasn’t receiving “fulls” but only polite compliments.
Kelly totally zeroed in on my premise, and I felt like she totally “got” my setup, stakes, and themes. She suggested minor tweaks to the query and a refocus on the main character for the first page. Plus she answered all my questions. Our time spent together was well worth it.

Great reading and advice
Sheila’s great. She quickly helped me revise my query and gave thoughtful and helpful feedback to my first ten pages. I highly recommend her!

The consultation with Bridget provided me with a clear direction for my manuscript and cleared out any insecurities with answers to my questions.

Compassionate Critiques
Linda Camacho exudes consideration in her critiquing sessions. Not only did she show genuine interest in my project, but also as me as a person. In both sessions I had with her, she spent time to understand my manuscript by asking clarifying questions in addition to providing her thoughts. My query transformed under her guidance, and she offered much needed encouragement, insight into the industry, and advice in regards to my first ten pages. I am grateful for her time, and especially for how she treated me with empathy and not just another box to tick off in her busy schedule.

I can’t thank her enough
Bridget was thoughtful, kind, and thorough in our consultation meeting. I am confident that her feedback will be invaluable in my querying journey!

The query letter pro
Thao opened my eyes to opportunities to improve my query letter which I am certain I would not have otherwise identified. She was kind and helpful. Thank you so much, Thao!
