What a remarkable value!

Caitlin met with me on time and was highly professional. She made me feel at ease and got right to business, first offering to answer any questions I had, then going over my query, then my selection. On all points the suggestions she gave were spot-on. She talked me through updating both my query letter and selection in small ways which would have a big impact. I left the meeting with a full page of hand-written notes, feeling invigorated and inspired. What a remarkable value! I can see how the recommendations she made of including MC goals early in my MS will have a positive influence through the whole work. She left time in the session for a follow-up questions, but none were needed – she was so clear. Highly recommended!

The feedback I received was very valuable

I chose Carina Licon to critique the first 50 pages of my YA manuscript. I chose Carina because her bio and manuscript wish list was aligned with my novel. The feedback I received from Carina was very valuable for me. I felt I had a relatable character and an interesting concept for for story so I was delighted when Carina responded positively to the work I have done. She provided me an editorial letter with constructive comments on pacing, character development, story timeline and really strong good questions. I felt that she understood my main character so well and challenged me perfectly to develop more detail around my MC. The 50 page critique was very professional and thorough. I know that these insights will help me tighten my story and improve the clarity and efficiency of my writing. A terrific investment that will help me hone my craft as a writer and a wonderful experience of better understanding what it would be like working with an editor.
