We can’t wait! Our Positivity Panel will be just the thing to raise your spirits in difficult times.
Here’s how it works: You send your work. Our agent and author panel chooses their favorites. And then they call YOU up to read your query and first page–and say only good things.
The result will be edited (so everyone sounds better than real life) and turned into a podcast.
It’s part reading, part instructive (“I love when authors _____”) and all-around a positive time.
How It Works
- You submit your query and first page (form below!)
- Our agent and author guests each choose a favorite
- Night-of, the winners are called up to read their query and first page, live
- The agent or editor gushes over how much they love the work–how it’s a great example of several things done well–and what the audience can learn from this fantastic example.

The event is free for everyone, but to join, you will need to RSVP and submit your work via the form below. Manuscript Academy members will receive free “view only” tickets if they don’t send their work.

Final choices of queries/pages are at the sole discretion of our panelists. We will ask them to please try to select a variety (so it isn’t all one genre), but other than that, it’s up to them.
Queries and pages are due by Tuesday, June 14, at 6:00 pm Eastern.
We will send out the link to members and attendees on the day of the event.
During the event, we ask that you be ready to turn on your camera and microphone and be ready to read your query and first page, if your work is chosen.
As always, our most important rule is kindness–we expect you to be supportive, respectful, and constructive, with the goal of uplifting your fellow writers and our panelists.
