Camille Kellogg, HarperCollins Children’s Books

I’m looking for middle grade and young adult fiction. I’m primarily interested in contemporary, character-driven stories but I also love thrillers, light fantasy, mysteries, and some historical fiction. As long as it has compelling characters, I’m sold!

I have a special love for family stories, friendship stories, witty narrators, and humor. I love graphic novels and I will read literally anything set in a boarding school. I’m also always interested in underrepresented voices and fresh perspectives.

I’d love to see:

  • A specialty boarding school YA or MG (a school for elite athletes, for spies, for anything unusual, intriguing, and oddly specific)
  • A MG centered on technology and social media that feels very up-to-date, cool, and internet savvy
  • MG about gaming, especially if the main gamer is female
  • Dexter for teens
  • Call Me By Your Name for teens
  • Stone Butch Blues for teens
  • A YA book about roller derby or rugby
  • A MG book about mental health issues, especially anxiety
