For many writers, learning to utilize the right tools for them can be the difference between an unfinished draft and publication (plus can save you a lot of time, hair pulling, and headaches in the process!). In this class, we’ll walk through some different ways to plan a novel using a beat sheet in Scrivener as well as explore the core tools in Scrivener that every novelist should know about. This is a great crash course on novel planning and drafting in Scrivener for beginner and intermediate users.
Jen Terpstra is a writer who currently lives in Madison, WI with her husband Jon, sons Hugh and Graham, and dog Ella. She spends a lot of time at her desk, surrounded by plants, notes, and a variety of half-finished beverages, with a dog or baby (or both) at her feet. Her neurotic need for things to be organized drives her family mad but makes her very good at creating templates, which she shares with other writers so that their families may be spared the same fate. She is currently writing a YA fantasy novel.
