Great Feedback on the Query + 10 Pages
Christina was wonderful! She gave me great actionable feedback on my query, what to lean into to make it stand out, as well as what I was doing right in my first 10 pages and what could be improved to make them stand out more. She was super helpful and really easy to talk to. I’d definitely recommend her to others!

Positive Interaction
Christina reviewed my query letter and first chapter. I was concerned how helpful this would be given the 15″. She got right into it and didn’t waste a word, which I appreciated. Her recommendations were spot on. She pointed out how I could improve my query letter. In addition she explained that the query letter needs to tie closely to the first chapter. As it was written, I provided a lot of unnecessary backstory and exposition in the first chapter. After I described the second chapter, she recommended starting with that and distributing backstory where needed. The advice was spot on. I made the change and the novel starts with an inciting event that is reflected in the query letter. Thank you.

AMAZING 50 Page Critique!

Query Tune Up
Wow-a fabulous, informative, motivating session with Jessica for my Query letter. I learned “rules” (three character names) I would not have known without her expertise and we had such fruitful conversation to flesh out how to cultivate a quirky, fun-filled, voice to reflect the voice in my Rom-Com. Constructive Concrete Notes
Fifteen minutes goes so fast, but Nadia had notes ready, and we dove right in. She shared notes, asked questions, and listened. I listened too as she shared constructive concrete thoughts. It was an incredibly helpful session that gave me a lot of food for thought. I’ve been mulling over what she shared and am anxious to get back to work! Incredibly helpful and uplifting.

15 Minutes Well Spent
This 15 minute meeting was packed with everything that I needed, and left me with actionable advice and a renewed confidence that I am on the right track with my book. Imposter syndrome is real, and getting some encouragement about what I was doing right helped me feel like I can keep pushing forward and that writing this book is not a complete waste of my time. Erica was kind, detailed, honest, and well prepared for the meeting. I could not ask for more, and as my title says, this was 15 minutes well spent.

A 15-minute meeting with Caitlin McDonald was amazing and incredibly helpful. She came fully prepared and jumped right into the feedback without wasting a second. She went through my manuscript paragraph by paragraph, offering specific, actionable advice. Her critique was constructive, professional, and straight to the point—exactly what I needed. She didn’t just tell me what wasn’t working—she explained why and pointed me toward solutions. That level of care in such a short time is rare, and I truly appreciated it.
