Emily Daluga (she/her) is an editor at Chronicle Books. She’s always on the lookout for stories that have a compelling voice and characters that stay with you long after you turn the final page. Her list primarily consists of middle-grade novels and graphic novels, along with select chapter books, YA, and picture books. Whether it be contemporary fiction or genre fiction, she’s most drawn to stories that feature a diverse cast of queer characters, monsters of any kind, unexpected twists, or tug-at-your-heartstrings emotions. Genre-wise, she loves horror, literary fiction, mysteries, romance, and stories to blend a variety of genres together or defy expectations. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Does not include written notes, but is a chance to have an honest discussion about your work, and to ask follow-up questions. International meetings welcomed.
WRITTEN Critiques: Get detailed, thoughtful notes on your work. Comes with large-scale edits (character, world, plot, tension, concept, conflict, and similar as needed) in an editorial letter and small-scale, line-by-line notes as needed (for longer critiques, an average of three per page). Work arrives in your inbox by the date on the calendar.
